At Design Your World, kids don’t just learn about STEM — they build it, test it, and bring it to life.
We are a hands-on engineering studio for elementary students who love to create, build, invent, and figure out how things work. Through robotics, invention challenges, and design labs, students grow their skills — and their confidence.
This is a place where curious kids become capable problem-solvers. Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Kids become scientists as they explore fascinating questions, experiment with their ideas, and uncover what the evidence tells them. Along the way, they learn the scientific process and create a project of their own to proudly share at a the Junior State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa.
Students design, code, test, and refine real robots using LEGO SPIKE technology. They solve global-themed engineering challenges — learning strategy, teamwork, and resilience along the way. and present at a Iowa State University showcase
Students design, 3D print, wire, and program their own interactive robotic pet. They learn how circuits work, how motors move, and how code controls behavior — then proudly present at a robot they built themselves the Parent Showcase.
Students identify real-world problems and invent solutions. They brainstorm, prototype, iterate, and present their ideas with confidence — learning how to think like engineers and entrepreneurs. Some go on to compete in regional, state, and national competitions. All grow.
